Shaheen Shah Afridi, Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam have been fined for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the Pakistan Tri-Nation Series match against South Africa, which was held in Karachi’s National Stadium. The fine arose from two separate incidents involving Pakistan players during the match.
Afridi has been fined 25% of his match fee for deliberately obstructing South African batsman Matthew Breetzke’s path in the 28th over, resulting in physical contact and a minor confrontation in violation of Article 2.12, referring to inappropriate physical contact during international matches.
Meanwhile, Shakeel and substitute fielder Kamran Ghulam were fined 10% of their match fees for excessive celebration done too close to South Africa batter Temba Bavuma after he was run out in the 29th over.
