Among the 314 National Assembly members only Aseefa Bhutto Zardari refuses to take her salary when she took office from NA-207 without opposition. Immediately after beginning her role she told the public in June 2024 that as National Assembly member from NA-207 she would refuse all government salary and compensation options.
First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari started the project after taking her chair role at SPWT and accepting public welfare duties. The project follows the educational work started by her mother Benazir Bhutto when she established SPWT in February 1987.
A group of important guests came to the ceremony including Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho who is the University Chancellor and Sindh Health Minister plus members of the SPWT Board of Trustees. The People’s School begins by establishing educational and management facilities to deliver modern learning experience. The trust makes a large step forward in its work with this new education setup.
