Pakistan’s education authorities have released new revised school timings for the coming Ramadan 2025 making ease for students and staff observing fasts in Punjab and Sindh. In Punjab, regular schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM with Friday classes ending at 12:30 PM. Double shift schools will have morning sessions from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and afternoon shifts from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM shifting to 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Fridays only.

Sindh’s schedule varies by level. Primary single shift schools will run from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM while double shift primary institutions will have morning classes from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM and afternoon sessions from 11:45 AM to 2:45 PM. Secondary, higher secondary and elementary schools in Sindh will follow identical Ramadan timing patterns.
School administrators are directed to implement these changes upon Ramadan’s commencement. According to SPARCO, Ramadan is likely to begin on March 2nd 2025 though the final decision rests with the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee which will convene on February 28th.
