Though cricket fans always wait for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 this year this league gained global attention when Pakistan became the host nation but India is reluctant to play on Pakistani soil.
This raised strong debate and discussions between the ICC and the BCCI. Then after a lot of drama finally ICC decided to shift all the matches of India to the UAE. This step came to avoid further controversy. As a result, now that most of the tournament will take place in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, India’s games, including a much-anticipated clash with Pakistan, will be held in Dubai.
Now ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is just a few days away and the Pakistan Cricket Board is working hard to make the venues in Lahore and Karachi ready for the upcoming tournament.
The renovation of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and the National Stadium in Karachi is still underway. But the Pakistan Cricket Board is confident that these stadiums will be ready for the matches of the upcoming triangular series, which will begin on February 8. Pakistan will also be joined by South Africa and New Zealand for these matches.
ICC is satisfied with the preparation of PCB:
Though ICC is monitoring the progress of stadiums in Pakistan. After review, “Following several inspection visits across all venues, the ICC is satisfied that they are on track for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy.”
