PM Sharif commended the UN Country Team’s efforts in Pakistan and recalled UN Secretary-General Guterres’s key role in mobilising global support for his country during the recent brutal and deadly floods.
Sustainability and climate change remained a crucial part of the discussions. Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to fighting the climate crisis and stressed the necessity of international cooperation and sufficient climate financing.
