Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, is visiting the UAE to participate in a high-profile Summit happening from February 11 to 13 in Dubai. He recently met his Emirati counterpart HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
PM Sharif appreciated Dubai’s remarkable progress as a global hub for business and innovation. Terming the UAE as Pakistan’s trusted ally, he invited businesses in the Gulf state to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.
UAE and Pakistan seek better economic and cultural ties
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, also the Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, reiterated the city’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral economic and cultural relations. He hailed the enhanced collaboration in emerging sectors.
Shehbaz Sharif also recalled his fond memories in the UAE during the 70s. He praised the UAE leadership for transforming the country in a short span of time, thanking them for their steadfast support and care extended to the Pakistan community in the country.
UAE and Pakistan aiming for sustainable economic progress
On his high-profile trip, the Prime Minister of Pakistan also met UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. During their meeting in the UAE capital, the leaders discussed strategies to deepen bilateral cooperation.
The talks focused on the economic and trade fields, alongside other areas that support both countries’ visions for sustainable economic progress and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed and PM Sharif explored opportunities to enhance ties.
Deep commitment to bolstering bilateral relations
The UAE President and the Pakistani Prime Minister exchanged opinions on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. They emphasised the need for intensified international efforts to open horizons for lasting peace.
For his part, Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in different areas. Numerous ministers, Sheikhs and senior officials also attended the meeting.
