Rockstar Games launched the last major update for Grand Theft Auto 5 on March 4th 2025. Although GTA 6 is up and coming, GTA 5 is the most played game in the world. The new Enhanced Edition brings greater visual improvements, smoother performance and better compatibility with next gen hardware.

The update will be free for all PC players regardless of whether they own the game on Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam or the Epic Games Store. Fans are lucky because the preloading has already started so players could dive into it the minute the patch goes live.
Grand Theft Auto V on PC is getting a free upgrade on March 4 with features previously only available in the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of GTA Online.
