Renowned Pakistani actress Hania Aamir was recently honored with the Star of Pakistan award at the UK Parliament’s Jubilee Room. She received the award from MP Afzal Khan and other distinguished guests in recognition of her phenomenal journey, outstanding performances, and contributions to the entertainment industry.
This event was hosted by Labour MP Afzal Khan and attended by Dr. Sarah Naseem, the wife of Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK along with several renowned figures from the British Pakistani community and media. While presenting the award, MP Afzal praised Hania, calling her a powerful presence in arts and culture. He also mentioned that Hania deserves appreciation for both her talent and humility.
Hania expressed gratitude after receiving award by saying:
“It’s an absolute honor to be here. We should continue making Pakistan proud and use our platforms to showcase our country in a positive light. Staying strong and united as a community is very important”.
Hania remained tight-lipped when asked about her possible Bollywood projects and collaboration with Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh
Last year in October, Hania was invited on stage during Dosanjh’s London concert and dedicated his hit song “Lover” to her.
This sparked a wave of appreciation from fans across Pakistan and India. Speaking about that moment, she said:
“Art is art. No matter the political differences, nothing should come between humanity and creative expression.”
At the event, Maria Soraya introduced Hania as a groundbreaking artist who has built a global fanbase and become a cultural ambassador and youth icon. She admired Hania’s influence, saying:
“Hania Aamir has transformed acting and fashion in Pakistan. She carries herself with grace and confidence, and she truly deserves this recognition.”
Hania playfully mentioned that she has been spending so much time in the UK that she might consider moving to London. However, she stated that she will be going back to Pakistan soon to celebrate Eid with her family and friends.
