4 Steps to Pay PTA Tax Online
Step 1: Register onto DIRBS
The first step is to create an account on the Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS) website. Visit the DIRBS website and click on ‘Register’. Provide your personal information such as CNIC/NICOP number and also contact values. Assign a password and verify the account through SMS or email.
Step 2: Go for COC
Upon completing your registration, you can apply for an FCC Certificate of Compliance (COC). This is a document developing PTA compliance. Login into DIRBS under the Application section, enter the IMEI number, brand name and model of your device.
Step 3: Submit IMEI
Every mobile device has a separate IMEI. You can easily check the IMEI of your device by just dialing *#06#. You may also check it from settings.
Step 4: Pay PTA Mobile Tax
With the Certificate of Compliance in hand, it is time to pay the mobile tax online.This can be done using ATM machines and mobile wallets like EasyPaisa, JazzCash and HBL Mobile. Follow the instructions according to your chosen mode of transactions.
After all is done, your mobile phone will be duly registered and can fit in very well to be used in Pakistan.
