Good news for overseas Pakistanis as NADRA has updated its rules for changing age details on the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). Now making changes is easier than ever. You can do it through the Pak ID mobile app, NADRA offices or Pakistani embassies abroad.
Who Can Apply for Age Changes in NICOP?
The type of documents you need depends on how much of a change you are requesting:
First time changes in NICOP up to 5 years
You will need any one of these:
- Pakistani passport
- Matriculation certificate
- Recent mark sheet
- Service book
Second time changes in NICOP (up to 366 days)
Required documents are:
- Pakistani or foreign passport
- Resident permit
- Matric certificate
NICOP Changes Using a birth certificate:
You can change your age by up to one year whether the birth record is from Pakistan or abroad.
Changes in NICOP due to Unusual age gap
NADRA allows up to one year of age change without any documents in the special case when there is unusual age gap between siblings (less than 7 months)

Here is what you will need to pay based on how big the change is:

NADRA also mentioned earlier that birth, death and marriage registrations fall under provincial rules and are handled by Union Councils not NADRA.
