As part of the recent Android 2.25.8.12 update, WhatsApp is going to launch an exciting new feature that allows users to share motion photos in chats, groups, and channels.
Motion photos create an animated experience by blending short moments of movement before and after still image, video and audio. They add a magical touch to everyday snapshots by blurring a line between photos and videos.
How Motion Sharing Feature Works In WhatsApp:
When you open the gallery in WhatsApp, a new motion photo button will appear. This button gives you the option to choose between sending, a regular static photo or a motion photo if available.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature is already visible in the latest Google Play Store update. However, it is still under development, so not everyone may see it right away.
The motion photo feature is expected to work across Individual chats, Group chats and Channels.
The best part is recipients can view these animated photos even if their phone doesn’t officially support the feature. On iOS, these motion photos will show up as Live Photos.
