Gold prices in Pakistan have hit the highest level again and made a new record. This is the second day in a row that gold has become more expensive both in Pakistan and around the world.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs8,600 per tola on Wednesday. Now one tola of gold costs Rs 348,000.
The price of 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs7,373 and set the new rate of Rs298,353.
On the international level, gold became more expensive too. The price increased by $46 and brought it to $3,310 per ounce.
Just one day ago on Tuesday, gold prices had already increased. In Pakistan, 10 grams of gold increased by Rs514 and globally the gold price increased by $6 to reach $3,224 per ounce.
Experts say that gold prices usually rise when the world is going through financial or economic troubles as people prefer to invest in gold during such times.
