A 5.2 magnitude earthquake has hit Islamabad and several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An earthquake originated on Thursday, 27th March 2025 at 13:28 PST having magnitude of 5.2 and depth of 198 km.
According to the National Seismic Centre, the epicenter of the earthquake was from the Hindukush region in Afghanistan.
The earthquake was experienced in Peshawar, Nathia Gali, Buner, Swabi, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Swat, Chitral, Shangla, Malakand and surrounding areas. People rushed out of their homes and offices in panic with fears of aftershocks.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties based on the available information.
