دی پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ (PCB) on Saturday condemned the verbal abuse of Pakistani players by some foreign spectators during the ODI match against New Zealand.
In Mount Maunganui, the third ODI series was won by New Zealand. New Zealand beat Pakistan by 43 runs.
Pakistani cricketer Khushdil Shah was restrained by security as he reacted to abuses hurled at him by a section of the crowd during the match.
The PCB stated in a statement that they were extremely hurt by the language used by the spectators against Pakistani players. During the match, certain foreign fans made offensive comments towards the cricketers.
When anti-Pakistan chants started Khushdil Shah tried to stop them and urged the crowd to behave. However the situation worsened when Afghan spectators responded with even more offensive language in Pashto.
The PCB mentioned that stadium officials stepped in and removed the two disruptive spectators after the Pakistani team raised the issue.
