دی پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ (PCB) today announced an exciting commentary panel for HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X. PSL X will officially commence on 11 April 2025. The matches will be hosted in Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi. Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will host the grand final.

International Commentators For PSL X
The biggest reveal of the season has been former England Test captain Sir Alastair Cook’s commentary debut. There will be the well known cricket broadcaster and ex MCC President Mark Nicholas alongside. He has worked for the big channels including Sky Sports and Channel 9. The other international names in the panel are England’s Dominic Cork and Mark Butcher, South Africa’s JP Duminy and Mike Haysman, Bangladesh’s Athar Ali Khan, New Zealand’s Martin Guptill and Australia’s two time Women’s World Cup winner Lisa Sthalekar.
Pakistani Commentators For PSL X
Former Test legends Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Ramiz Raja and Aamir Sohail will feature from Pakistan in the live coverage. Both being in the ICC and PCB Hall of Fame, Wasim and Waqar will offer decades of experience and perspective. They will be joined by Bazid Khan, former women’s team captain Urooj Mumtaz and cricket analyst Sikander Bakht.
Urdu Commentators For PSL X
For the first time HBL PSL X will celebrate an entire match with Urdu commentary. Ali Younis, Aqeel Samar, Marina Iqbal, Salman Butt and Tariq Saeed are members of the Urdu commentary panel. These commentators will also join forces with the main panel in special segments during the course of the tournament. This will bring the PSL closer to fans who like to watch the game in their national language.
PCB CEO Salman Naseer Thoughts
PCB Chief Executive Salman Naseer was delighted to have the panel as part of its commentary team and said: “We are delighted to have such iconic names in our commentary panel. Their inclusion will elevate our broadcast quality and make a statement of the PSL’s international standing.” Commenting on the recently launched Urdu commentary initiative he said: “This is another big step towards bringing PSL closer to our fans across the country as we air a full match in Urdu for the very first time.”
