Pakistani women and architect Dr. Yasmeen Lari has declined to receive the reputable Wolf Prize in Architecture. Dr. Yasmeen Lari made this choice in protest against Israel’s continuing attacks on Gaza in Palestine.
The Wolf Prize is a highly reputable international award given by the Wolf Foundation in Israel, but Dr. Yasmeen Lari rejected it, stating that Dr. Yasmeen Lari could not receive recognition from a country accountable for the suffering of innocent people in Gaza.

“While I am especially thankful for this achievement, alas, in view of the unhappy ongoing genocide in Gaza, I am not able to accept the award & the prize money even from an Institution that is private from the government.
